sylvester stalloneSylvester Stallone was christened Michael Sylvester Gardenzio Stallone, Hell's Kitchen in Manhattan on July 6, 1946. The oldest son of Francesco Stallone Sr. (a hairdresser) and Jackie Stallone (astrologer, and dancer). Frank Stallone Sr, his younger brother is an actor musician and hairdresser. The complications of childbirth led to the left lower portion of Sylvester's face to be paralyzed, giving him the now iconic "snarling" appearance and slightly slurred , slurred, speech. Due to the volatile parent-child relationship, Stallone spent his first years in foster care. The couple split later. Stallone was a drama student at the American College in Switzerland before taking a flight to the University of Miami. He left school before finishing his studies and moved to New York City to pursue acting as a profession.
