Ani Difranco

Angela Maria Ani DiFranco (born Angela Maria Ani DiFranco) is an American as well as a Canadian musician and singer. Her catalog includes more than twenty albums. Her music is categorized as folk, alternative and rock but she also draws influences of jazz and hip-hop. Ani Difranco has been widely recognized as an icon for feminist music. In the year 1990, she was among the first artists to create her own label independently. DiFranco was born in Buffalo New York on September 23rd of 1970, the daughter of Elizabeth (Ross) and Dante Americo DiFranco The couple had met while attending the Massachusetts Institute of Technology. Her father was of Italian roots and her mother was born in Montreal. 32 Flavors is a hit song written and performed by Ani DiFranco. It is a track from her 1995 album Not a Pretty Girl, which was her sixth studio album. This track appears on the film soundtrack for the Canadian romance film Better Than Chocolate from 1999. DiFranco apologized in 2013 after it was reported that she would be hosting the three-day workshop on the Louisiana slave plantation.
