Ashley Madekwe and Ashley Leggat
Madekwe came from a multi-cultural household. Her birthplace was in South London. The mother of her child is English while her father is Nigerian. She was raised in the southern part of London Council Estate, and then went to The Brit School aged 14. It was the Royal Academy of Dramatic Art is where she obtained a BA degree in acting. At school, she was a part-time actor in numerous stage plays, including King Henry V's Princess Katherine or Wuthering Heights.
Madekwe began her acting career through the film Storm Damage. Since then Madekwe's appearance in Teachers as well as Doctors. Madekwe's debut film appearance was Woody Allen's 2007 film Cassandra's Dream opposite Colin Farrell, Ewan McGregor. After that, she played Elisha in the one-off BBC Three drama pilot West 10 LDN, and appeared in the six episodes of Trexx and Flipside as Ollie. In 2008, she was offered the Bambi part on the ITV2 Drama The Secret Diary of a Call Girl. Secret Diary of a Call Girl. She appeared in the series 2 and 3. Madekwe was also the main character on How to lose friends & make people feel alienated, which was released by Sony Pictures Entertainment in the year 2008. Her theatre credits are Little Sweet Thing or Roy Williams as well as Flight Path of David Watson.
Madekwe debuted in the US in the US with The Beautiful Life. The drama series was telecast on The CW for only two episodes before being removed from the air. Ashley Davenport appeared in ABC drama Revenge as of February 2011. The show premiered in May 2013 and it was announced that Madekwe who had been a series regular in the two previous seasons, had decided to quit the show with a guest appearance on the premiere episode of the new season. Between 2014 and 2016she appeared in Salem on the CW as Tituba. Madekwe got married to her long-time partner, Iddo. Alongside Secret Diary of a Call Girl they have also worked with each other on Salem and he had a part alongside her in that TV show.
Ashley Leggat grew up in Hamilton Ontario with an extended family. Her parents, Roy and Patty and her brothers Brett, Todd, and Bram, were all present. The brothers of Ashley were extremely athletic, and they played baseball as well as hockey throughout the summer and winter. Her childhood was spent in the arenas and baseball. Ashley was never able to actually walk. She danced. At 2 and a 1/2 and a half, she joined Baby Ballet. Ashley developed a passion for dancing after she started Baby Ballet. Ashley was a top competitor in divisions of tap, jazz ballet, hip hop, the lyrical musical theatre, acrobatics and pointe until she graduated high school. The top soloist at major competitions such as International Dance Challenge, Showstoppers, 56-7-8 Showtime, Flash Dance, Dance, Dance, Dance, were all awarded to Ashley.
