Ayesha Takia

Ayesha Takia Azmi (born April 10 1986) was a model and actress from India that primarily appeared in Hindi movies. Ayesha was awarded the Filmfare's Best Debut Award in the year 2004 for her portrayal as the lead actress in Taarzan The Wonder Car. It was her first acting role. The actress has appeared in several popular movies, such as Paathshaala (2010 Wanted) Salaam-E-Ishq (2008) as well as Socha Na Tha (2010). The first commercial she appeared in was for Complan known as a drink that promotes health. She appeared in their defining commercial titled I'm a Complan boy. I'm a Complan girl with Bollywood superstar Shahid Kapoor. Also, she was in the remix of Nahin Nahin Abhi Nahin. The singer gained fame thanks to the huge success that this song had during the period of remixes in India. It was at this point that she began to receive offers for roles in Bollywood films. Takia, who was supposed to make her debut in Socha Na Tha due to delay in production, only first informed about Taarzan following her debut. Ayesha demonstrated her courage by expressing her disapproval of her father in of law Samajwadi Party Samajwadi Party MP Abu Azmi on the punishment of the victim of a rape. As she was a part of the PETA India advertisement, she issued the public announcement that she is vegan. In 2006 she appeared on the list of"Most Desirable" Women from India.
