The Moroccan-born Sofia Pernas moved to California at the age of 5 old. She grew up in Orange County. In 2015, she graduated from the University of California San Diego and received her first big break as an actress. Pernas started her acting career through small parts on NCIS as well as Leverage. The Young and the Restless gave Pernas the character Marisa.
