Dua Lipa (born in London) is an English singer and songwriter who was born on August 22 1995 within London United Kingdom. Dua Lipa signed to Warner Bros Records in 2014 after working as a model. She dropped her debut album, self-titled in 2017. The album reached third place in the U.K. Albums Chart and was followed by eight singles including Be the One I.D.G.A.F and the U.K. top-ranked track New Rules which peaked at 6th in the United States. Lipa received the Brit Awards for British female solo artist as well as British breakout act in the year 2018. Her album was certified platinum throughout the world. Dua lipa was born the 22nd of August, 1995 in London to Kosovo Albanian Anesa Rexha, and Dukagjin Lipa. Her maternal grandmother is Bosnian. She can trace her ancestry back to Peja which is a city located in Kosovo. Lipa's grandfathers were both historians. Gjin and Rina are her twins. Lipa was taught guitar playing as well as sing under the guidance of her dad Oda. Oda is the lead singer/guitarist of Kosovan's rock group Oda.
